Is the steering hard to steer? Does it feel stiff? Then it could be one the following issues:

Over-adjusted or tight ball joints

Check that the ball joints on both the upper and lower control arms are not too tight or over adjusted.

Check the service manual on how to do this.

Stiff or tight steering rack/column

Check steering rack for damaged.

Check steering shaft universal joints for excessive wear or stifness.

To check this, raise the front of the vehicle off the ground, disconnect the steering rack end at both wheels by unbolting the tie rod ends.

If the steering wheel turns and it is still tight then it is most likely a steering rack or steering column issue.

Replace if necessary and carry out wheel alignment.

Obstruction near steering system

Check for obstructions in any part of the steering system.

Wheel alignment incorrect

The wheel alignment could have been set incorrectly.

Re Check for excessive camber adjustment

Grease inadequate

Check to see if there is enough grease in the steering rack and all four ball joints in the upper and lower control arms.

Steering rods bent or damaged

Check to see if the steering rods between the stub axle and the steering rack are not bent or damaged.

Replace if necessary and carry out wheel alignment

Control arms damaged or bent

Check to see if both the upper and lower control arms are not bent or damaged.

Replace if necessary.
