News Image 01.13.12 - Herald Sun: Tomcar rolling off under own steam
"While the big auto players argue about jobs & subsidies, a new all-terrain vehicle is set to roll out of an Oakleigh factory under its own power and on its own commercial merits.
The makers of the Tomcar have not sought government money for their $10 million investment in the rugged, Mad Max-style utes, which they believe will be perfectly suited for famers, outdoor enthusiasts and the military.
The handmade vehicles, which will result in about 30 extra people being employed at the components maker MTM, could eventually create 200 new jobs."
